First Holy Communion Catechists Formation

This is a 2 hour sessions to help parish catechists and teachers who prepare children for their First Holy Communion. During the session, we will survey the role of the catechist as a one who witnesses, teaches and accompanies children and their parents in the course of the First Holy Communion preparation. We will highlight the challenges of the mission of catechists and offer insights on how to meet these challenges, especially in inviting parents to become more integrated into the parish community and equip them to pass on the faith to their children.
